Normalizing
Normalization is a heat treatment process that enhances the uniformity and strength of steel tubing. During this process, the pipe is heated above its upper critical temperature to transform its internal structure. Once the desired temperature is reached, the pipe is removed from the furnace and allowed to cool naturally in open air.
This controlled air-cooling process refines the grain structure, relieves internal stress, and improves the pipe's overall toughness and machinability. Normalizing ensures that the entire length of the pipe has a consistent microstructure and mechanical properties.
